16、cquaintancewiththeconductofthemachineitscontrollingmechanisms.Consequentlythefirstflightwassht.Thesucceedingflightsrapidlyincreasedinlength,atthefourthtrialaflightof59secondswasmadeinwhichtimethemachineflewalittlemethanh
17、alfamilethroughtheairadistanceof852feetovertheground.Thelingwasduetoaslighterrofjudgmentonthepartoftheaviat.Afterpassingoveralittlehummockofsinattemptingtobringthemachinedowntothedesiredheighttheoperatturnedtheruddertoof
