2、.Themeasuresaimedatpromotingtheintroductionofnewtechnologies(suchascoherentmodulation)tofacilitatefutureimprovementsinradarclutterintheabilitytodetecttargetsthusimprovingsecurity.Thesetechnologiescanalsoreducedisttionlau
3、nchblaunchpromotetheefficientuseofspectrum.From2008thesetechnologiescanbeappliedtothenewSbradar.Sbisparticularlyusefulinthewstrainsnowclutterenvironment.BecauseofitsabilitytodetectdisplayadvantagesSbradarisgenerallyconsi
4、deredbettersuitedasAPRA(automaticradarplottingdevices)collisionavoidanceradar.Althoughthenewtechnologiesaimedatenhancingsecuritytheuseofthistechnologyalmostdonottriggertheradarofexistingradartransponder.Radartransponderw
5、asconsideredaveryimptantnavigationaltoolbecausetheycanbeverypovisibilityinthecaseofrecognitionratherthanrelyonbuoypositioningGNSS.Overallthenewradartechnologycompatiblewiththeradartranspondertoresearchdevelopmentbutatpre
6、sentthesenewtechnologiesnotrelatedtoindustrystardsrecommendations.AtpresenttheapplicationofnewtechnologiesftheSbradarofthematyrequirementsofloadingalsodidnotmentionontheagenda.SimilarlytheexistingSbradarphaseoutscheduleh
7、asnotplanned.Newradartechnologywillhavesomenewacteristicsoftheoperationtheneedfoperattraining.Xbradarontherequesthasnotchanged.InthefeseeablefuturestillrequireXbradartriggersearchrescuevehicleradartransponderradartranspo
8、nders(SART).NewtechnologiesintheSbradarwillbedecidedXbradarfuturedevelopmentplansasafacttherefeitwassuggestedthattheIMOtoamendtherequirementsofSARTwillchangeitfromradarbasedbasedAISothertechniques.NewradartechnologyInter
9、nationalMaritimeRadioCommittee(CIRM)ProfessofNrisexplainedthattheradartechnologyconstantlychangingftheidentificationoftheClutteroffersthepotentialfincreasetheuserthatthecurrentmarineradarperfmanceinthisregardcannotmeetth
10、erequirements.MeeffectivecontrolofbwidthcanalsoimprovethecompatibilityofotherusersRF(radiofrequencyIndertoobtainbetterCluttertargetresolutionneeds20MHzevenhigherbwidth.Anypulsedurationothersitestowaveintheyarefeasiblecan
11、usepulsecompressiontechnologyacquisitionfromthedifferential.WithfrequencyphasemodulationAM(ifpossible)pulse.Continuouspulsemaynotbethesame.Ifyouuseafixedphasearrayantennasmaynotbeabletoproduceacontinuousbeamazimuthflybac
12、kevenwiththerotatingantennatoantennapointingbefebackwarddirectionofancillaryfacilities.AlternativetechnologiesUnderstablyinahighlycompetitiveenvironmentmanufacturersdonotwanttotalkaboutthemisstillinthedevelopmentprocesss

14、zethehlingoftheinherentgooddistanceresolutiondonothaveadistancesidelobe(fromthesidelobeLuanzhendistanceintherealtargetsofredundancy“echo“mayhaveapulsecompressionprocess).Thiswillbeabettershttermperfmancethatthesolutionto
15、theexistingSbradartranspondercompatible.Howeveritneedshighpeakpowerpulsesmayalsoneedtousecoherentmagronduetotheneedfhighvoltagebutalsoinaveryshtpulseinthemaintenancephasefrequencystabilityisverydifficultthetechnologymeex
16、pensive.Mediumcoherentpulsewidthcanberelativelyeasilyinapulseofabetterfrequencyphasestabilitybutalsoislikelytopulseshapethedesignwhichwereoptimizedshtrangemediumrangelongrangeperfmance.Thesetechnologiescanbepartofthatwit
17、htheexistingSbradartranspondercompatible.Howeverthetechnologyrequiresatravelingwavetube(TWT)relatedtohighpowersemiconductamplifier(afewhundredwattsofpeakpower)theremayberelativelyexpensive.Theavailabilityofsufficientdist
18、ancefromthelowsidelobeisalsoaproblem.otherpiecesofradar(CWRadar)peakpowerneedsoftherelativelylow(10Wofpowermaybesufficient)youcanusepricesaffdablestableperfmanceofsemiconducttechnology.AtpresentapossiblemodulationFMCWist
