3、fman entrepreneurial internship program, at Ocean Optics Inc. (Dunedin FL). After graduation, he joined the Center for Ocean Technology, COT, located at the USF College of Marine Sci- ence in a postdoctoral position wher

4、e he is currently employed. His research interests include optical sensors,micro?uidics, power source development, poly- mer applications for MEMS, and miniaturization of sensing components and in-situ transduction syste

5、ms with emphasis in portable and remotely operated platforms development. Jay C. Dlutowski was born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1969. He received his BSEE fromthe University of Southern California in 1993, aMSEE fromthe Univers

6、ity of Pittsburgh in 1999 and is currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida. His professional background includes positions as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Baxter Healthcar

7、e in Largo, FL from 2000–2003 and at DaimlerChrysler Rail Systems in Pittsburgh, PA from 1997–2000, and as an Electrical Engineer atWestinghouse Air Brake Company from 1995–1997.John Bumgarner is currently a Program Mana

8、ger at SRI International and directs the St Petersburg MEMS facility. Previously, he was the Director of ProcessDevelopment forMEMS at theCenter forOcean Technology atUSF.His current research involves developing MEMS dev

9、ices in diamond and AlN and he has an interest in unusual fabrication processes. He earned a PhD fromNCSU (Raleigh, NC) and an MS and BS from Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) in Materials Science and Engineering. C

10、hristel Munoz earned a BS in chemistry from the University of Florida (Gainesville, FL) in the year 2000. She is currently working in a Ph. D.in electrical engineering at the University of South Florida (started in 2005)

11、. She graduated with honors from her Bachelor of Science degree, and is cur- rently a bridge to the doctoral fellow, holding a 4.0 GPA in her graduate work. In addition, Ms. Munoz is currently a full-time, senior chemist

12、 at the University of South Florida, Center for Ocean Technology’s MEMS facility (Largo, Florida). Her responsibilities encompass MEMS device fabrication, safety and inventory logistics. Her current research and professi

13、onal inter- ests include process development, novel polymeric devices and sensors for utilization in harsh (marine) environments. Prior to her present position, she worked at Sandia National Laboratories (Livermore, CA,

18、MS. Before joining USF Center for Ocean Tech- nology, he has worked with JDS Uniphase Corporation, Ramar Corporation, and CoreTek, Inc, where he had been responsible for various R&D and produc- tion activities in the

19、 areas of micron-optics, integrated optics and systems, and MEMS, as a Development Engineer, Principal Engineer, and Project Scientist respectively. He received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees in electrical engineer- ing in

20、 1986, 1988, and 1992 respectively, from Tsinghua University, Beijing,China. Raj Popuri received his Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Uni- versity of South Florida. In 2003, he joined Center for Ocean Techn

21、ology as a process engineer and is currently involved with the development of MEMS-based sensors and accelerometers. His responsibilities include sensor and electronics design, fabrication, integration and system-level t

22、esting and ver- i?cation. His background includes circuit design, ferroelectric materials, sol- gel ?lms and polymers.Lawrence C. Langebrake received the MSEE degree form the University of South Florida in 1990. He has

23、over 25 years experience in product development and organizational management and manufacturing. He has extensive experi- ence designing analog and digital electronic systems as well as electromagnetic systems, optical a

24、nd opto-electronic devices and microelectromechanical sys- tems (MEMS). He was the Director of the University of South Florida’s Center for Ocean Technology, which provides services to the University’s College of Marine
