2、wkersocialsupptjobawarenessasthreefactsthataffectjobsatisfactionofemployeesfromtwosizedJapanesemanufacturingcompanies.Inadditiontothesignificantmaineffectsofsupptivesupervisioncowkersocialsupptasignificantinteractioneffe
3、ctbetweensupptivesupervisionjobawarenesswasobtained.Thisinteractionsuggeststhatsupptivesupervisionisveryimptantinincreasingjobsatisfactionwhenwkershavelowlevelsofjobawareness.Introduction:Manystudiesrelatedtohumanbehavia
4、twkintheindustrialenvironmentcanbeseeninthehistyofganizationalpsychology.Keepingemployeessatisfiedindertoretaintheirservicesfalongertimehasbecomeamajtopicofinterestamongtheresearchersofthefield.Whilesatisfactionitselfisd
5、efinedaccdingtovariousfacetsitsdeterminantsalsohavevariedcrespondingly.Stogdill(1972a)suggestedthatahighlycohesivewkgroupwasassociatedwithacceptanceoftaskrelatedrolestheientationdirectionofgroupmemberstowardtaskaccomplis
6、hment.Hisresultsindicatedthepossibilityofachievingahigherganizationalperfmancewiththeexistenceofacohesivewkgroup.Ahighsocialsupptbetweenamongthemembersofthegroupwouldsignificantlycontributetomakesuchacohesivewkgroup.Stog
7、ditt(1974b)suggestedthatthepersonientedpatternofleadershipwhichresultsfromthesocialsupptofsupervisstendstoenhanceemployeesatisfactionwithsupervision.Inanotherstudysatisfactionwithsupervisionhadbeenanalyzedinthetermsoflea
8、dershipstylesubdinatepersonalitytasktype(MoffittW.etal.1976).Howevernoattemptervisionsupervisionanacceptingwkgroupwithahighsocialsupptaswellasbythevalencesinhiseyesofmoney。Initsmostdirectsensejobsatisfactioncanbedefinedf
9、romtheperspectiveoftheganizationasthedegreeofwellbeingexperiencedinthewkwksituationwhichassuresthelongtermretentionoftheemployee.Howeverintheliteraturethemeasurementofjobsatisfactionhascreatedproblemswhenevertheoverallsa
10、tisfactionaboutanemployeeswksituationisconcerned.Inthisstudywhichfocusesitsattentionontheeffectsofjobclimateonemployeesatisfactionduetotheappropriatenessofameasurewhichrepresentsemployeesatisfactionwithallthreefacets.Thi
11、smeasurereferstotheemployees“generalsatisfactionwiththejobclimate“whichismeasuredhereasthesumof“facetsatisfaction“(ofjobclimate)acrossallfacetscrespondedi.e.satisfactionwithsupervissatisfactionwithcowkerssatisfactionwith
12、job.ThisisconsistentwithseveralsuchpastattemptsInandinarywkshopnojobcanbeseencompletelyisolatedfromtheresthencewhenemployeesareassignedtoperfmthesejobseachmustbeinvolvedwithothersfvariouspurposesatvariouslevels.Theimplic
13、ationsofexpectancytheyfsuchasituationsuggestthatmembersofthesamewkgroup(i.e.cowkerssupervis)notonlybufferanindividualfromthefeelingsofmonotonystressbuttheyalsoameliatesuchnegativeeffectsindertomaketheemployeesatisfiedmem
14、otivatedtoperfmthewklongterm(Rocco&Jones1978).Inthiscontextsocialsupptfromthecowkerssupptivesupervisionwithfriendlyresponsesfromthesuperviswouldactasthe“secondleveloutcomes“inexpectancytheyterms.Althoughthewkingprocedure
15、smethodsarealmostdecidedinadvancewkershavetoconsulttheirimmediatesupervissfrequentlyduetovariousproblemsatwk.Theseproblemsmayariseduetounavailabilityofpartsdelayofoperationmistakesetc.aswellaspersonalproblems.Hencesuperv
