13、edfromthecapacits.Thiswillbeexpedoninthenextsectionintheappendix.B.PowerFactCrectionCapacitscanalsobeleftpermanentlyconnectedtoraisethefullloadpowerfact.Whenusedinthismannertheyarecalledpowerfactcrectioncapacits.Thecapac

14、itsshouldneverbesizedlargerthanthemagizingcurrentofthemotunlesstheycanbedisconnectedfromthemotintheeventofapowerloss.Theadditionofcapacitswillchangetheeffectiveopencircuittimeconstantofthemot.Thetimeconstantindicatesthet

15、imerequiredfremainingvoltageinthemottodecayto36.8%ofratedvoltageafterthelossofpower.Thisistypicallyonetothreesecondswithoutcapacits.Withcapacitsconnectedtotheleadsofthemotthecapacitscancontinuetosupplymagizingcurrentafte
