2、aesthetic standards; however 600 years later, the beauty of Kunqu opera is still touching our heart. “The Peony Pavilion “and” Lanke Mountain “ are acknowledged as classics of Kunqu opera. The paper studies the “Three dr

3、eams” in the two plays performed by famous Kunqu opera artists Zhang Jiqing, focusing on the analyzing of singing aria in “Interrupted Dream“, “Seek Dream“, “Day Dream“ . The author aims to analyze the word cell and sing

4、ing tone included in the play and the application of basic tones. The basic tones of Kunqu opera is the main tone. After studying the articles of predecessors, the author inherited and developed the understanding on main

5、 tones of Kunqu opera from her professor. She tries to study the main tones through diagrammatical analyze to find out the basic pattern of singing. With various analyzing methods the author reached the conclusion that t

6、he main tones of Kunqu opera are “formed by core tones and their modifications.” Another key point of this paper is the achievement of Zhang Jiqing as a theatre image carrier - a Kunqu Opera actress, for her performance,

7、 the shaping of image and so on. And analyzes characteristics of the heroines Du Liniang and Cui Shi from different point of view and hierarchical. Furthermore, the author analysis the achievements and influence of “peon
