2、 higher education, taking charge of important tasks, such as discipline construction, personnel training, making the construction plan of discipline, bringing about an advance in discipline, etc.. Whether

3、 a discipline is whole really effective, produces the remarkable scientific findings, depend on the ability and quality possessed of the subject leaders in scientific research to a great extent. But, which ability q

4、uality subject leaders in scientific research should possess on earth, it is that opinions vary, and relevant research from determining the nature to study to set out basically even, but also t

5、he effectiveness is relatively weaker. Just because of this, this text has probed into the ability quality that the subject leaders in scientific research should possess in terms of quantitative research

6、mainly. This text develops the theories to summarize and trace back to ability at first, Utilize the analytical method of documents to study the current situation of study on ability quality of the subject leaders in sc

7、ientific research of the relevant experts and scholars in China and development trend at the same time. Secondly, through the social research approach of questionnaire investigation, have carried on

8、the positive research to the ability quality of the subject leaders in scientific research of ordinary higher learning school. Using factor analyze of SPSS, 58 ability qualities are analyzed, thus draw the ab

9、ility quality structure model that the subject leaders should possess by scientific research ability, lead managerial ability, relevant characteristic, studying strength, moral quality, socialized ability, undertaking ac

10、hievement motive, physical and psychological quality and nine first class indexes of legal consciousness to form. Moreover, trying on the cognitive difference to the ability quality importance of subject le

11、aders in scientific research and current situation of different demographic characteristics of statistical analysis and sociology characteristic. Finally, proceed from subject leaders in scientific research, unit a

12、nd management organization angle, attract, select, train and bring up a group of outstanding subject leaders in scientific research and put forward corresponding countermeasure and suggestion. Keywords: the subject-lea
