    • 簡介:探析文獻期刊數(shù)據(jù)庫的檢索及應用策略探析文獻期刊數(shù)據(jù)庫的檢索及應用策略文獻檢索的基本原理是通過對大量的、分散無序的文獻信息進行搜集、加工、組織、存儲,建立各種各樣的檢索系統(tǒng),并通過一定的方法和手段使存儲與檢索所采用的特征標識匹配,獲得和利用信息源。其可分為手工檢索和計算機檢索兩種。手工檢索是計算機檢索的基礎,計算機檢索是手工檢索的發(fā)展。從檢索原理來講,手檢與機檢并無差別,在檢索進行之前都要進行檢索課題的分析、檢索工具文摘或文檔的選用、根據(jù)檢索課題的要求制定檢索策略、選擇檢索途徑和檢索方法,然后才能進行檢索操作。手工檢索是通過人工自己動手去查找,去對比檢索標識和書本式檢索工具(各種書本式目錄、索引、文摘等)中的存貯標識的相符性,即通過“人書對話”來完成檢索過程。文獻期刊數(shù)據(jù)庫的主要功能概括為信息檢索功能、內(nèi)容擴增功能和服務拓展功能。通過用戶對數(shù)據(jù)庫各項功能的應用情況調(diào)查分析表明用戶已把信息檢索作為使用數(shù)據(jù)庫的主要目的,而數(shù)據(jù)庫新增的內(nèi)容擴增功能和服務拓展功能在用戶實際應用中未能充分發(fā)揮其作用。分析認為,出現(xiàn)這種問題的主要原因,一是用戶沒有真正認識到這些新增功能的作用及巨大的服務優(yōu)勢,二是數(shù)據(jù)庫新增功能模塊還不夠完善、部分鏈接很不穩(wěn)定。1文獻期刊數(shù)據(jù)庫主要功能有文獻期刊數(shù)據(jù)庫主要功能有11信息檢索功能信息檢索功能無論早期開發(fā)的文摘索引庫還是當前發(fā)展較快的全文數(shù)據(jù)庫,人們對信息檢索功能研究歷史較長,構成該功能的軟件模塊技術已相對穩(wěn)定和成熟,內(nèi)容主要包括信息檢索、結(jié)果顯示及下載。在信息檢索方面一般數(shù)據(jù)庫都提供基本檢索(或稱為簡單檢索、快捷檢索等)和高級檢索(或稱專業(yè)檢索、復雜檢索等)功能,并通過二次檢索進一步縮小檢索目標,獲得更準確的結(jié)果;同時,支持邏輯運算、模糊(精確、前方一致)檢索,,提供規(guī)范化詞表和索引瀏覽等檢索方式。在檢索結(jié)果的顯示方面,除對命中文獻提供文獻題名、作者、出處、文摘或全文內(nèi)容外,許多數(shù)據(jù)庫還增加有作者電子信箱、引文等信息。12內(nèi)容擴增功能內(nèi)容擴增功能內(nèi)容擴增功能是數(shù)據(jù)庫在原有基礎上增加的新功能。從傳統(tǒng)數(shù)據(jù)庫概念來看,每個數(shù)據(jù)庫都有對應的文獻收錄范疇,即時間、地域、學科及文獻類型范圍,數(shù)據(jù)庫收錄的文獻內(nèi)容范圍是衡量其質(zhì)量的重要指標。隨著各門學科的深入發(fā)展,交叉性和跨學科文獻愈來愈多,數(shù)據(jù)庫作為文獻信息的動態(tài)集合體,必須打破原收錄的文獻范圍限制,擴增其收錄范圍,網(wǎng)絡技術為數(shù)據(jù)庫的內(nèi)容擴增提供了優(yōu)越的條件。13其他功能其他功能文獻數(shù)據(jù)庫功能的不斷擴充與完善既是數(shù)據(jù)庫開發(fā)商的利益需求,更是廣大用戶對信息服務業(yè)提出的要求。目前,國內(nèi)外著名的數(shù)據(jù)庫都以以上三大功能為開發(fā)信息平臺的主要目標,且不同數(shù)據(jù)庫還有其他一些附加功能。2最大限度發(fā)揮文獻期刊數(shù)據(jù)庫各種功能應采取的主要措施最大限度發(fā)揮文獻期刊數(shù)據(jù)庫各種功能應采取的主要措施21進一步完善數(shù)據(jù)庫的各項新增功能進一步完善數(shù)據(jù)庫的各項新增功能數(shù)據(jù)庫的各項新增功能是近年來國內(nèi)外數(shù)據(jù)庫的發(fā)展方向,但整體而言,各項功能的內(nèi)涵仍然有待充實,與實現(xiàn)使最終用戶無縫鏈接、一步到位的信息服務目標還有很大的距離。22依托數(shù)據(jù)庫的各項新增功能深化圖書館信息服務工作依托數(shù)據(jù)庫的各項新增功能深化圖書館信息服務工作豐富的數(shù)據(jù)庫文獻信息資源構成了圖書館信息服務工作的堅實基礎。同時,通過對數(shù)據(jù)庫新增功能的分析比較和研究,并結(jié)合數(shù)據(jù)庫的其它特征指標,可以全面評估數(shù)據(jù)庫,為文獻資源建設提供科學的決策依據(jù)。23加強用戶培訓工作加強用戶培訓工作數(shù)據(jù)庫資源的使用價值最終要通過用戶的應用來實現(xiàn),因此,用戶對數(shù)據(jù)庫系統(tǒng)的結(jié)構特點及功能的了解與熟悉程度、對數(shù)據(jù)庫檢索技能的掌握程度都直接影響著數(shù)據(jù)庫功能的發(fā)揮。筆者認為,目前,在數(shù)據(jù)庫用戶培訓方面應從以下3點抓起一是主動與數(shù)據(jù)庫商聯(lián)系,邀請公司人員對本單位用戶進行短期培訓,這也是各商家的用戶培訓任務之一;二是有計劃地組織本單位圖書館人力資源,不拘形式、全方位地開展數(shù)據(jù)庫應用培訓工作。三是結(jié)合本科生、研究生的文獻檢索課教學工作,重點介紹重要數(shù)據(jù)庫系統(tǒng)的結(jié)構特點及增值功能,使其在掌握信息檢索功能的基礎上對其增值功能有一個全面地了解,并能熟練地應用它獲得最多的相關信息和最佳的服務,實現(xiàn)數(shù)據(jù)庫的增值功能。
