2、o a certain extent, even we can say that the development of the oil painting in China is actually a course of choosing or giving up to realism. Because of this kind of understanding, this thesis attempts to study the rea
3、listic circumstances of realism tradition in China contemporary oil painting on the basis of analyzing history. It is of long standing and well established that the technique of realism that take painting
4、realistically as characteristic may well be termed in western art. From ancient times Greece to Renaissance, painting realistically technique establish it mainstreams status in western art. Courbet made
5、realism become a specific concept in the middle period of the 19th century . Realism inspired the impressionist’s explorations , but the modern art who impressionism make its start denied realism completely. The f
6、orming of China art traditional realism are closely linked to Chinese's understanding to western painting and western culture.The domestic trouble and foreign invasion begun from the Opium War makes the social
7、function of art to be pay attention to extremely. The realism represented by Xu Beihong have opened the realism tradition of China finally . Through observing it, this paper think the realism views of China lie in form o
8、f painting realistically thoroughly, its first function is teaching .So that foreshadowed the art turning to tool gradually in the future . Later on, under the encourage of revolutionary romanticism, the shape of
9、 Soviet Russia added the color of the New Year picture has been formed the revolutionary realism that represented by the Culture Revolution oil painting . The contemporary Chinese oil painting started with the rebelli
10、on of revolutionary realism. But because of more and more diversified media choice and its one's own limitation, the oil painting seems powerless to the reality with rapid change. The realism creation way doe
11、s not have a good prospect naturally , but the most dangerous enemy of realism is one's own mannerism. Commercialize mannerism hard the artist’s observation and refuse realism technique at their deep mea
12、nings . The loss of realism tradition is not unexpected in contemporary oil painting.The utilitarianism is one of the important reasons view that their lose art vigor turning to mannerism. The realistic situation
13、of realism makes continuing adhering rigidly to the concept of it with meaningless. Traditional question instantly tend towards being cleared up . This is exactly a characteristic of contemporary art. The concept is unim
14、portant.What is important is that the artists of individual how surmount real world and art self- discipline by oneself individualized work. Break away from the tool theory completely as well as do not sink into
