2、mobile communication network, which not depend on fixed infrastructure. Because of the natural background of military use, Ad hoc has become the research direction of military data link.Therefore, we propose aircraft clu
3、ster Ad hoc network, focusing on the most two important layers: MAC layer and routing layer. Firstly, we design the MAC protocol for a cluster network which has a central node. Based on the traditional TDMA protocol, we
4、 propose a scalable dynamic time division multiple access protocol (DTDMA). This protocol can dynamically adjust the frame length according to the traffic flow in the whole network, and there is no idle time slot. Centra
5、l node assigns the slots for each node based on the amount and priority of its traffic. Every node has the conflict-free transmissions in its allocation slots. Simulation results show that this protocol can set up a scal
6、able wireless network, improve the network throughput significantly, reduce the average end to end delay, and implement the differ services. And then, we study the MAC protocol for a multi-hop self-organizing network. Fi
7、rstly, we analyze the related issues on slot transmission, and then propose a hybrid adaptive time-devision MAC protocol (PB-HATD), which aslo can realize differ services.Through analysis, this protocol advances differen
8、t competitive strategies for conflict allocation slots and unused allocation slots. For the scenarios of high-speed mobile nodes, the topology of the network changes rapidly.In order to meet the requirements of routing f
9、or efficient and robust, we propose a routing protocol named DOLAR. This protocol uses the signals's Doppler shift between transmitting and receving nodes to estimate their relative mobility. It also uses cross-layer
10、 technology between network layer and MAC layer to compute the load of each node. In order to select the most stable and efficient route, when select a route; it considers the load, relative mobility of the node and the
11、hop count. Simulation results show that the DOLAR routing protocol has improved the stability of the route, avoided local congestions, and improved network performance. Key words: Ad hoc networks, Ad hoc aircraft cluster
