6、ootedintheeclecticparadigmofDunning(19791980)thiswktriestoidentifythedeterminantfactsofeachoneofthesethreebasicdecisions.Thusthreequestionsaretobe2economics(Williamson19751985)considersthatthegreaterthepresenceoffactsfac

7、ilitatingopptunisticbehavionthepartoftradepartnersthehighertransactioncostsincurredtoprotectagainstsuchopptunism.Thusthecompanywouldinclinetowardsinternationalizationfmswhichinvolveahighdegreeofcontrolthatisitwouldprefer

11、71Gersovitz1987Jun1989).TheeclecticparadigmalsoknownastheOLIparadigmproposedthattheundertakingofFDIisdeterminedbytherealizationofthreegroupsofadvantages:Ownershipadvantagesarespecifictothecompanyarerelatedtotheaccumulati

12、onofintangibleassetstechnologicalcapacitiesproductinnovations.Internalizationadvantagesstemfromthecapacityofthefirmtomanagecodinateactivitiesinternallyinthevalueaddedchain.Theyarerelatedtotheintegrationoftransactionsinto

13、multinationalhierarchiesthroughFDI.Locationadvantagesrefertotheinstitutionalproductivefactswhicharepresentinaparticulargeographicarea.Theyarisewhenitisbettertocombineproductsmanufacturedinthehomecountrywithunremovablefac
