4、ofintroductionwewillfirstdiscusssomeofthemetangiblebenefitsofteammanagement.Ftheganizationperhapsthesinglegreatestbenefitofadoptingasystemofteammanagementcanbeunderstoodintermsoftheincreasedpotentialthatisbestoweduponthe
5、teammemberbecauseofhisheraffiliationwiththeteam.Membershipofateamnotonlychangesbutactuallyenhancesbothanemployee’sdaytodaywkactivitiestheendresultofthoseeffts.Anemployee’spotentiali.e.theextenttowhichheshecanperfmhighqua
6、litymeaningfulwkisthusextended.Deionsofthenatureoftheteamcannotbecompletewithoutsomedeionoftheganizationbehindtheteam.Whileteammanagementpracticestheresponsibilityoftheganization’sleadershiptotheteamarethefocusofthenexts
7、ectionthetangiblenatureoftheganizationthatsupptstheteamwillbediscussedhere.Inshtinderfanganizationtodemonstrateitsupptsthefundamentalsofteammanagementitmustremovesymbolsofhierarchymembersthenestablishednotonlybetweenteam
8、leadersteammembersbutalsoamongstthemembersthemselvestaskdelegationcanbemadewithconfidencefaith.Inshtteammanagersganizationleadersmusthonestlyassesstheabilitiesskilllevelsoftheirteammembersdividethewkaccdingly.Eachpersoni
9、sdifferentfromtheothereachmustbeempoweredtoachievequalitysothatallwillfeeltheyarecontributingtotheteaminaconstructivefairmanner.Giventheimptanceoftrustitfollowsthatthekeytosuccessinanganizationthatespousesteammanagementi
10、stheempowermentofemployees.Trustremainsastaticconceptifemployeesarenotcountedupontocompletethetaskstheyaregiven.Theindividualwhoisempoweredachievesgreaterlevelsofqualitysubsequentlyenjoyshigherlevelsofsuccess.Tasksmustth

12、esheisinfactvaluedneededisfarlesslikelytofailtheteamtheganization.Naturallyinderfteammemberskillstodeveloptopointwheretheycanbetrustedallowingemployeestoachieveempowermenttheganization’sleadersmustimplementatrainingprogr
13、ambywhichthoseskillscanbeacquired.Howevertrainingteammembersinvolvesamultilayeredsystemofeducationwhichextendsbeyondthesimpletransmissionofskills.Atminimumemployeetrainingshouldbeontwolevels:skillbasedtrainingwhichstrive
14、stomakeemployeescrossfunctionalsothatteammemberscansupptoneanothercommunicationtraining.Whileitisundeniablycrucialthatteammembersareunderstoodintermsoftheirindividualskillsitisalsoessentialthatteammemberspossesstheskills
15、notonlytoaccomplishtheirowntasksbutalsoifnecessarytoassistotherteammembersinthecompletionoftheirtasks.Thesecondlevelofteammembertrainingcommunicationtrainingisperhapsthecnerstoneuponwhichthesuccessfailureofateamisbuilt.A
