1、英語(yǔ)雙關(guān)語(yǔ)作為一種修辭手段，長(zhǎng)期以來被廣泛地應(yīng)用在日常會(huì)話、故事、小說、廣告、戲劇、詩(shī)歌、笑話、謎語(yǔ)等文體中，用來造成幽默、詼諧、諷刺的效果，使語(yǔ)言變得生動(dòng)、活潑、有力。本文對(duì)雙關(guān)語(yǔ)的定義、特征、功能、分類及其翻譯問題進(jìn)行了初步的研究。 就雙關(guān)語(yǔ)本身來說，它幾乎是不可譯的。然而，由于交際的需要，譯者又不得不“明知不可為之而為之”。那么，到底是什么原因?qū)е逻@種“不可為”和“可為”呢?本文既從語(yǔ)言和文化兩個(gè)方面分析了英語(yǔ)雙關(guān)語(yǔ)漢譯存
