3、nce and development of tumor. Methods: All specimens were obtained from stomatological center of Tongji hospital of Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Seventy-four cases of oral canc

4、er and precancerous lesions were included in this study. Among these cases, there were 9 samples of normal mucosa, 8 samples of simple hypoplasia, 22 samples of dysplasia and 35 oral squamous cell carcinoma.SP immunohis

5、tochemical method was used to investigate the positive expression rates of HMGB1 in paraffin-embedded oral cancer and precancerous lesions. Results: The positive staining of HMGB1was observed in cytoplasm. The positive

6、expression of HMGB1 in normal mucosa was 11.1%(1/9), in simple hypoplasia and dysplasia were 12.5%(1/8),59.1%(13/22)10%, and in oral squamous cell carcinoma was 82.9%(29/35), respectively, the positive rate of HMGB1 in o

7、ral squamous cell carcinoma and dysplasia were significantly higher than that in normal mucosa and simple hypoplasia (P<0.000). HMGB1 in oral squamous cell carcinoma of well differentiated and poorly differentiated ti

8、ssues in the rate difference was not statistically significant (P <0.361), and tumor diameter greater than 3cm was significantly higher than that of the less than 3cm (P < 0.035), expression of tumor metastasis was
