3、linkedtomanageoperationsholistically.ThestudyinvestigatesthechangeinaccountingsystemsusingasampleofAustraliancompanieswithemphasisontheadoptionofERPsystemsincludingthepotentialimpactofERPoncapitalbudgetingprocesses.There
4、sultsshowthatERPsystemsarechangingmanagementaccountingpracticesalthoughatthisstagetheimpactoncapitalbudgetingtechniquesappearstobelimited.ThefindingscontributetotheemergingbodyofliteratureonthedevelopmentofERPsystemsitsi

8、thfewermultinationalsubsidiariesmehomogenousmanagementbackgroundintermsofcultureeducationalbackground(Matolcsyetal.2005).GiventhesedifferencesintheAustralianenvironmentMatolcsyetalclaimthatthebenefitsofERPsystemsarelikel
9、ytobemepronouncedmeasurableatleastintheshtruninAustralia.ThesignificanceofthestudyisitscontributiontotheemergingbodyofliteratureonthedevelopmentofERPsystemshasthepotentialtoprovideusefulcontrastconfirmationofthelimitedre
10、searchfrommainlyUSbasedstudies.FurthermethisstudycontributestothebodyofknowledgeoftheimpactofERPonmanagementaccountingteachingresearchusingabroadlybasedsampleofcpationsinanAustraliansetting.Inertainingtheimpactofinfmatio
11、ntechnologyonmanagementaccountingthispaperwillhavethefollowingadditionalsections.Thesecondsectioncontainsaliteraturereviewoftheimpactofinfmationtechnologyonmanagementaccounting.Withtheliteraturereviewthethirdsectiondevel
