5、esofFrederickHerzbergEdwinLockearepresentedchronologicallytoshowhowLocke’stheywasaresponsetoHerzberg’sthey.Byunderstingthesetheiesmanagerscanfocusonstrategiesofcreatingjobsatisfaction.ThisisfollowedbyabriefexaminationofK

6、enhBlPaulHersey’stheyonleadershipwithinmanagementhowthisartischangingthroughtime.HerzbergjobsatisfactionHerzbergetal.(1959)proposedthatanemployee’smotivationtowkisbestunderstoodwhentherespectiveattitudeofthatemployeeisun

7、derstood.Thatistheinternalconceptofattitudewhichiginatesfromastateofmindwhenprobedcalledmotivats(jobfacts):recognitionachievementpossibilityofgrowthadvancementresponsibilitywkitself.ThesecondgroupHerzbergnamedhygienefact

8、s(extrajobfacts):salaryinterpersonalrelationssupervisinterpersonalrelationssubdinatesinterpersonalrelationspeerssupervisiontechnicalcompanypolicyadministrationwkingconditionsfactsinpersonallifestatusjobsecurity.Motivatsr

11、toHerzbergetal.(1959)motivatscausepositivejobattitudesbecausetheysatisfythewker’sneedfselfactualization(Maslow1954)theindividual’sultimategoal.Thepresenceofthesemotivatshasthepotentialtocreategreatjobsatisfactionhoweveri

12、ntheabsenceofmotivatsHerzbergsaysdissatisfactiondoesnotoccur.Likewisehygienefactswhichsimply“move”(causetemparyaction)havethepotentialtocausegreatdissatisfaction.Similarlytheirabsencedoesnotprovokeahighlevelofsatisfactio

13、n.HowdoesHerzbergbasethisnonbipolarrelationshipJobsatisfaction(HouseWigd1967)containstwoseparateindependentdimensions.Thesedimensionsarenotondifferingendsofonecontinuuminsteadtheyconsistoftwoseparatedistinctcontinua.Accd
