7、eling for China's backwardness and modern Western civilization. Strong patriotism and social responsibility maked Ting have more hope by the modern social and political. He was also influenced by Qichao Liang,Hu shi

8、and Bertrand Russell when he came back to China. v.k.Ting’s knowledge in science maked his ideas distinct from those of scholars with European or American background, and he was more focused on solving practical problems
