簡(jiǎn)介:CLASSIFIEDINDEXH3LUDC821SECRECYRATE..P......U.....B......1...I...C....I..Z......E...DUNIVERSITYCODE壁壁墨至DISSERTATIONFORTHEMASTERDEGREECODESWITCHINGANDIDENTITYCONSTRUCTIONINTHEJOYLUCKCLUBASOCIOPSYCHOLINGUISTICPERSPECTIVECANDIDATESUPERVISORASSOCIATESUPERVISORACADEMICDEGREEAPPPLIEDFORSPECIALITYEMPLOYERDATEOFORALEXAMINATIONZHANGYIMANPROF.ZHOUYINGMASTEROFARTSENGLISHLANGUAGEANDLITERATURESCHOOLOFFOREIGNLANGUAGESMAY,2013摘要摘要喜福會(huì)作為華裔美國文學(xué)最成功的小說之一,引起了廣大讀者的強(qiáng)烈共鳴和批評(píng)界的廣泛關(guān)注。目前關(guān)于喜福會(huì)的研究主要是集中在分析其母女關(guān)系主題,研究作品中體現(xiàn)的東西文化沖突和文化身份界定問題方面。本文試圖從社會(huì)心理語言學(xué)的角度探討小說喜福會(huì)中的語碼轉(zhuǎn)換與民族身份建構(gòu)的關(guān)系,以期為該問題的研究提供一個(gè)新的視角。由于語言是民族身份的標(biāo)志之一,而民族身份又具有動(dòng)態(tài)性和可協(xié)商性,在某些情況下,語碼轉(zhuǎn)換能夠幫助人們建構(gòu)民族身份。人們通過語碼轉(zhuǎn)換建構(gòu)民族身份既受到社會(huì)環(huán)境和文化等因素的影響,也受自身社會(huì)心理因素的影響。因此,本文試圖采用社會(huì)心理語言學(xué)的相關(guān)理論來探索建構(gòu)民族身份的語碼轉(zhuǎn)換現(xiàn)象,并對(duì)人們選擇某種特定語碼或轉(zhuǎn)換語碼來表明或建構(gòu)民族身份的原因進(jìn)行研究。本研究以社會(huì)心理語言學(xué)中的三個(gè)重要理論言語調(diào)節(jié)理論、語言態(tài)度理論和動(dòng)機(jī)理論為基礎(chǔ)構(gòu)建了理論框架,并對(duì)小說喜福會(huì)中與民族身份建構(gòu)有關(guān)的語碼轉(zhuǎn)換現(xiàn)象進(jìn)行分析,以揭示影響說話人語碼轉(zhuǎn)換行為的社會(huì)心理因素。研究表明,說話人通過語碼轉(zhuǎn)換建構(gòu)民族身份,往往是受以下三個(gè)社會(huì)心理因素的影響言語調(diào)節(jié),語言態(tài)度以及心理動(dòng)機(jī)。其中言語調(diào)節(jié)主要通過語言趨同或趨異來實(shí)現(xiàn);語言態(tài)度主要指理智方面的語言態(tài)度和情感方面的語言態(tài)度;心理動(dòng)機(jī)則主要體現(xiàn)在四個(gè)方面表明對(duì)民族語言的忠誠表達(dá)民族情感;表示親近友好,縮小會(huì)話雙方的心理距離;適應(yīng)社會(huì)規(guī)約。在這些社會(huì)心理因素的綜合影響與作用下,人們最終選擇特定語碼,通過語言符號(hào)的指示性建構(gòu)自身的民族身份。關(guān)鍵詞語碼轉(zhuǎn)換;民族身份;言語調(diào)節(jié);語言態(tài)度;心理動(dòng)機(jī)
