3、RSSmicrostructureinother22speciesofsnakeslizardsinthedersquamate.Themainresultswereasfollows.FirstlytheannualvariationsofRSSinR.tigrinuslateraliswerestudiedfromMay2007toJanuary2008.Theadultshowedsexualdimphosisincolstruc

4、tureofkidneys.Thekidneyofmaleadultisyellowthatoffemaleisreddish.Thepostdistalconvolutedtubuleofmalekidneyishypertrophied(calledRSS).ThehatchingsnakesdidnothavesexualdimhposisonemontholdmaledidnotyethaveRSSbuttheoneyearol

5、dmaledevelopedRSS.TheseasonalchangesofRSSinR.tigrinuslateralisaretemperatetypewithannualvariationsinmicrostructurehistochemicalreaction.TherelationshipsbetweenRSSreproductivecyclewerediscussed.Secondlyit’sthefirsttimetoc

6、ompareRSSof8speciesofsnakescollectedinJulywithR.tigrinuslateralis.Theresultshowedthatthekidneysofthe8specieshadsexualdimhposisincolstructure.Thecolofkidneysinthemalewasdifferentfromspeciestospecies.Generallythemalekidney

7、wastintincolthefemalereddish.InmicrostructurethefemalekidneysdidnothaveRSSwhichexistedinthemalekidneys.MeanwhilethecolofkidneysinmalearerelatedtotheexistenceofRSSwhichmeanedthelighterthecolofkidneysthehighertheepithelium

8、ofRSS.ThirdlyRSSinlizardswasdifferentfromsnakes.AlthoughthecolsofmalefemalekidneysinlizardsshowedsimilarpatternsasinsnaketheyhadthestructureofRSSwhichwasthehypertrophiedregionofthecollectingductofkidneysthesizesofthehype
