4、 more and more schools offering elective Chinesecourses, and the number of students taking elective Chinese is increasing. Especiallyin recent years, elective Chinese courses have surpassed those of English, makingChines

5、e the second largest elective language in Thailand. Although the teaching ofChinese elective courses has become an important force to promote the developmentof Chinese teaching in Thailand, its current situation is not o

6、ptimistic.Meanwhilethere are relatively few studies on the teaching of Chinese elective course in Thailand.Based on the current literature and the teaching practice in Thailand, this thesisanalyzes the present teaching s

7、ituation of Chinese elective courses in Thailand, andputs forward the corresponding teaching strategies to solve the existing problems.Itintends to provide a reference for Chinese teachers and encourage more people to pa

8、yattention to the Chinese elective course and do research.This thesis consists of six parts. Chapter One is introduction, which explains theorigin of the topic, the meaning and the research content and methods. Chapter T

9、wo isthe literature review on the current domestic and foreign Chinese electivecourses.Chapter Three goes through the definition and characteristics of electivecourses and the present situation of Chinese elective course

10、s in Thailand. The resultsof the survey are analyzed through the investigation and analysis of the actualsituation of Chinese teachers and students.In chapter Four, based on the characteristicsof Thai students and Chines

11、e elective courses, the problems of Chinese electivecourses are summarized from the aspects of questionnaires, interviews andobservation, and the concrete analysis is carried out.Chapter Five puts forward thecorrespondin
