1、圖式是指人們過去的知識和經(jīng)驗在大腦中的存儲方式，它是人類長期的知識和生活經(jīng)驗的積累，是人們對世界認知的基礎(chǔ)。由于不同國家民族的思維方式、語言文化和生活背景的不同，他們的認知圖式也存在著一定的差異，這就給人們對外國語言的理解和翻譯造成了一定的障礙。近幾年來，圖式理論已被廣泛的應(yīng)用于外語研究的各個領(lǐng)域，突出表現(xiàn)在英語聽力和閱讀領(lǐng)域，但是圖示理論在科技英語翻譯領(lǐng)域的研究還比較滯后。
