3、ween church and state. The First Amendment was set up to tackle the thorny problems to the paradoxes between religion and public education. Religious issues in public schools are changing with the development of American

4、 education. A number of Education Laws had been built during 1950s and 1980s, which protected students' and teachers' rights and also aroused many kinds of religious issues. These issues related to three parts: t

5、eaching, religious freedom to students and teachers. The cases referential to religion in American public schools in this time showed three things: the number of cases had become increasingly since 1950s and in 1970s rea

6、ched a peak, and the majorities of cases were based on the Establishment Clause, last some typical cases were considered as “models“. Over the past 20 years, lots of new religious issues have sprouted. The new cases conc

7、luded: use of school facilities by religious student groups, distribution of religious materials, religious holiday programs, aid to nonpublic schools and suggested guidelines regarding religion in the public schools. A
