1、This paper reports on an investigation of the oral performances among ChineseEFL college students using task-based language performance assessment.The purpose of this study was to find out to what extent different studen
2、t groups differ in terms of their oral task performances as well as the influence of task themes on their performances.Sixty-four college students were involved in this assessment.Findings show that:1)as a whole,English
3、major graduates performed the best among the four different student groups,followed by English major undergraduates,non-English major graduates and non-English major undergraduates,respectively;2)in terms of task-depende
4、nt rating criteria,the students as a whole did not reach the average requirements for being able to accomplish the tasks,and based on task-independent assessment criteria,the students generally did slightly better on cod
