1、《論語》的翻譯自明清以來便是中外文化交流的重要組成部分。《論語》幾乎被用世界上所有主要語言翻譯過。隨著世界全球化的進程,中外之間的交流日趨甚密,中國文化在世界的傳播變得更加廣闊與深遠。本論文從《論語》的眾譯本中選取中國19世紀末20世紀初學貫中西的國學大師辜鴻銘以及英國近代首位享譽中外的漢學家理雅各的英譯本進行對比研究。這兩個譯本都是被學界公認的經(jīng)典譯本,但他們采取的是不同的翻譯策略,理雅各傾向于異化而辜鴻銘傾向于歸化。歸化是要把源語本
2、土化,以目標語或譯文讀者為歸宿,采取目標語讀者所習慣的表達方式來傳達原文的內(nèi)容;而異化是盡量保持原作國家的文化,讓譯入語讀者充分領(lǐng)略文化的不同與美妙。到目前為止對于上述兩個譯本的歸化異化傾向的定論已有大量的研究,但一直以來都是針對性地列舉例證,結(jié)論也是總體上的概括,而沒有提供或經(jīng)過科學的數(shù)據(jù)化的考證,因此本論文采取抽樣調(diào)查的統(tǒng)計方法就兩譯本的歸化異化傾向問題對兩譯本中的文化負載詞進行抽樣調(diào)查與數(shù)據(jù)統(tǒng)計并得出客觀結(jié)果:辜鴻銘的譯本為歸化而
